The NHS is well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases and has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.
In order to minimise the potential spread of illness and to protect our staff and other patients we have taken the decision to screen all patients before offering an appointment. You will be asked some simple questions about your travel history, whether you have any respiratory symptoms and a reason for requesting the appointment. Some patients may then be offered a telephone triage consultation before a face to face appointment is booked.
We are working hard to maintain a service for all of our patients and very much appreciate your patience and assistance at this time.
