What is a PPG? (Patient participation group)
Patient Participation Groups have been established for many years and are recognised and encouraged by the NHS and Health Authorities as a means of giving patients an opportunity to get involved in finding out more about how their healthcare providers work and to become part of the decision making process for the development of healthcare at their local GP surgeries and locality.
Definition: groups are a great way for patients and GP surgeries to work together to improve services and promote health.
